Monday Inspiration - In Dark Times, Find The Light. Arnold. Again...
On January 6, 2021, when the riots unfolded at the US Capitol, the world was in shock. People cycled through complex feelings of disbelief, frustration, confusion, anger, and even sadness. Arnold Schwarzenegger saw all of this as a cry for help and took the opportunity to directly address the people of America with an incredible seven-minute speech he called "A Servant's Heart". With his sword from Conan The Barbarian in hand, he told all Americans to "stand by the country", to put democracy first, and to heal as Americans. Pretty inspiring stuff from someone who's was not even born in the US.
Fast forward to this past Sunday and an assassination attempt on a former President of the United States. It narrowly missed being successful, but it took the life of an innocent bystander and critically injured two more. Again Arnold reached out to the nation, this time via his daily newsletter, encouraging Americans to look for opportunities in the current challenges and to step away from the political hate that exists. In Arnold's America, he believes that "Even in our darkest times, we find a way to see the light, no matter how distant it may be."
As all of this was unfolding, I was finishing up on Arnold's latest book called Be Useful. If you ever wanted to know exactly what is possible when you put your mind to it, you will absolutely be blown away by his story. The world would be a much better place if we all followed even half of his inspirational advice.
Thanks Arnold!
